Since 2009, Urban Playwrights United (UPU) has been a constant bridge between independent writers and producers, and the necessary tools and information they need to take their careers to unimaginable heights. Our "Two Minute Play" competition which takes place annually at our national conference, has become a signature event that pushes our attendees to write and produce a two minute play in less than 48 hours. The power of these fully produced two minute productions has inspired us to launch our own Festival (UPU Fest)  which will celebrate and highlight the power of short stories of both film and stage.
